Necropolis — an army-focused faction
is an army-oriented castle fully centered around the faction skill Necromancy. Thanks to the undead converter and snowball mechanics (building up critical mass of troops), Necropolis plays on the principle of “quantity dominates quality”. All faction troops have relatively low damage and stat values compared to other factions, but they make up for it with massive weekly growth. Example: Skeleton — 30 growth per week, while Faun — only 12. The growth difference fully compensates for the lower unit quality.
Main Gameplay
To play Necropolis successfully, focus on
Basic Diplomacy and buy up economically advantageous neutral creatures. The undead converter transforms them 1:1, regardless of quality. That’s why Vampire (T7) has twice the weekly growth compared to other top-tier units — to prevent it from being too advantageous to immediately send everything into the converter.
Faction Ability:
Basic Necromancy
After winning a battle, the strongest creature in the enemy stack turns into undead of the same tier, in the amount of 10–20% of the maximum stack size.
There is a limit in the form of Necromancy points — their cap can be increased weekly via faction laws or subskills. Also (per recent videos), you can disable Necromancy before battle — and after victory, some Necromancy points will be restored.
Powerful Artifacts and Sets for the Faction
The strongest set in the game for Necropolis — Ambassador’s Word, consisting of just two items: ( + ).
It allows you to recruit any troops to your army for free and immediately send them to the undead converter. Once this set is assembled — the opponent is put on a timer: if they don't win the game in 3–4 days, they most likely won't be able to anymore.
Strong Heroes
One of the strongest heroes in the game — Marl:
. Thanks to the starting specialization in the
Web spell, he has a powerful overall slowdown of the entire enemy army by -3 with one spell right from the start. This greatly reduces the difficulty of many battles and turns clearing difficult objects into a walk in the park.
